Accounts Payable Specialist (Perm)
As part of a fast-paced and dynamic Finance team, the Accounts Payable Specialist should constantly be looking to drive efficiencies, monitor creditor liabilities, and create strong cross-functional relationships
MiroBio is looking for a proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to play an essential role in the MiroBio purchase-to-pay process.
The primary roles and responsibilities of this position include:
AP inbox management
Management of the accounts payable inbox, ensuring that invoices, queries and other communications are dealt with promptly.
Supplier onboarding
Perform due diligence ahead of creating new suppliers in accounting and banking systems.
Query resolution
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve creditor queries.
Supplier reconciliations
Reconciliation of supplier accounts, ensuring any issues are investigated and dealt with appropriately
Purchase Orders
Support stakeholders with raising purchase orders and performing analysis and review of open POs.
Invoice processing
Process, match and validate supplier invoices (including project milestone invoices and multiple currencies); 'three-way matching' these with purchase orders within the Amici procurement system.
Payment run preparation
Compile periodic payment runs based on invoices coming due for payment.
Bank reconciliation
Post bank payments to creditor accounts and nominal accounts as appropriate. Perform periodic bank reconciliations within the accounting system.
Process improvement
Make recommendations and changes to existing processes to improve the purchase-to-pay process and controls.
Support monthly closing
Support the monthly closing process by contributing to GRNI, accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliation processes.
Ad-hoc project duties
Other ad-hoc projects when required
